Elisabeth Whitehead grew up in the Washington D.C. area and Japan and has lived in Oregon, Montana, Iowa, and Helsinki, Finland where she received a Fulbright grant to study Finnish fairy tales. She currently lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia and teaches at James Madison University. She has had poems published in Colorado Review, Denver Quarterly, LIT, jubilat, among others and is a co-editor of Greatcoat magazine.
